Winscombe is an ancient village and settlement going back to the Roman and Iron Ages.
Nestled on the edge of Banwell plain and on the main road from Banwell to the A38 towards Cheddar it has good access roads from all directions.
The village can even be visited on bicycle on the old Strawberry Line railway line, from Clevedon to Cheddar, which is now converted for walkers and cyclists.
It is well served by a good mixture of traditional outlets, butchers, bakery, Post Office and Banks, but also a range of shops from flowers to lingerie, soft furnishings to gifts and flowers.
There is a welcoming friendly Pub for drinks and food and a unique feature in Towns and Villages, FREE PARKING.
